You Were Made for More: Break Free from What’s Holding You Back

Let me start with a story about a dog named Topper. 🐶
Years ago, my sister adopted a Border Collie—one of the smartest, most energetic breeds out there. She lived in a small home with a fenced-in backyard, and unfortunately, that’s where Topper spent most of his time.

Now if you know anything about Border Collies, you know they need space to run, a job to do, purpose. But Topper had none of that.
He barked, he paced, he dug holes. And eventually… he just gave up.
No longer barking. No longer trying. Just lying in the yard—resigned to a life that didn’t fit the dog he was created to be.

That little yard became his whole world. Not because he wanted it. But because he forgot (or maybe never even knew) that he was made for more.

Are You Living Like Topper?

I don’t mean with muddy paws and a wagging tail 😉
I mean: are you feeling stuck, fenced in, like life just… happened to you?

Maybe someone else’s choice changed your life.
Maybe the dream didn’t work out.
Maybe the diagnosis came, the door closed, or the relationship ended.

And now… you feel like you’re living in the backyard version of your life. Small. Confined. Safe—but unfulfilling.

If that hits home, let me remind you of something I know with my whole heart:

💥 You are not Topper.

You are a strong, intelligent, beautiful woman. And most importantly—you are a spirit daughter of God. That means you were literally made for more.

Where Real Power Comes From

The world will tell you power comes from hustle. From productivity. From setting goals and pushing harder.

But the truth?
Your power doesn’t come from your willpower or your to-do list.
Your power comes from your beliefs.

What you believe about yourself will either keep you fenced in—or set you free.

Think about it.
You start the year fired up: new planner, new routine, new goals.
You go all in for two weeks… and then life gets lifey. The motivation fades. The old doubts creep back in.

Not because you're weak. But because there's a belief—sneaky and silent—running the show.

Beliefs like:

  • “I’m not lovable.”

  • “It’s too late for me.”

  • “I’ll never get what I want.”

  • “I’m not enough.”

Those beliefs are the real fences.
But here's the good news:

🚪 The gate is open.
You’re not trapped. You’re just believing something that isn’t true.

Let’s Talk Divine DNA

Just this morning, I was reading about the brother of Jared in the Book of Mormon. He had a massive problem—and instead of panicking or giving up, he went to God.

And God didn’t just answer—He showed up in power.

Reading that reminded me: I’m not just a woman figuring life out. I’m a daughter of God. I have divine DNA.
And if that’s true (and I believe it is), then you and I have access to power, guidance, and love that is bigger than any fence.

We are never alone.
We don’t have to create our lives by ourselves.
We get to co-create with God. Just like the brother of Jared did.

And friend, that changes everything.

Try This: Two Questions to Set You Free

Let’s get practical. I want you to pause and answer these two questions:

  1. 📝 What do I want that I don’t already have?

  2. 📝 What do I believe about myself that’s keeping me from it?

Maybe your belief is:

  • “I’m not meant for love.”

  • “I’ve missed my chance.”

  • “Everyone else has it easier.”

Now I want you to try on new beliefs—truths, really:

  • “I am worth the effort it takes to create what I want.”

  • “I get to choose how I respond.”

  • “God is walking with me through the gate.”

  • “I’m not stuck. I’m powerful.”

That’s the power you already have. That’s what you’ve forgotten.
But the good news? You can remember it. You can reclaim it.

What Happens Next Is Up to You

You’ve got two options:

  1. You can stay in the backyard—safe, small, and stuck.

  2. Or you can walk through the open gate and into a life filled with purpose, partnership with God, and the peace that comes from choosing new beliefs.

But let me be honest—walking through that gate? It’s scary. It’s unfamiliar. And that’s why you don’t have to do it alone.

This is where coaching can change everything.
I help women uncover the limiting belief that’s keeping them stuck—and I walk with them as they learn to believe something new.

If you’ve been feeling like Topper—resigned and restless—please don’t wait.
